Yes! At Positively Rewarding, I firmly believe that many problems can be avoided, simply by choosing the most appropriate breed type for your family. And no matter what breed you decide on, raising a puppy is A LOT of work! I can paint a clear picture of just what to expect. As the saying goes “fore-warned is fore-armed” I offer a Pre-Adoption Advice service, where I come to your home to meet you and the family and advise on breeds, the most useful things you’ll need to buy BEFORE puppy arrives, how to set your home up to succeed and what to expect and do in the first 48 hours…and beyond!
Bringing an adult dog home is a different kettle of fish and requires understanding and a good plan too!

Contact me via the contact form on my website, or email directly at cath@positivelyrewarding.com.au or text or phone. We can discuss which class would suit you best and I’ll then send you an enrolment form and an invoice. Once I receive your completed rego form + payment advice, you’re all booked in!
And don’t worry, there’s a lot of communication from me leading up to and throughout the duration of the 5 week course.

Absolutely. A private Senior Puppy session or two, is really valuable in helping you to appropriately socialise your puppy, learn how to teach him or her to walk on lead and come back when you call, amongst many other useful exercises. This is also a good opportunity to address any unwanted behaviours before they become too well-rehearsed. The beauty of private training is that each session can be tailored to your individual needs.

Yes! Teaching dog parents how to be the most interesting thing at any given moment, is one of my favourite tricks! Save your voice, forget the frustration and learn how to communicate in language that your dog understands.

No problem! You’ve come to the right place! It’s all about understanding how your dog thinks, why he keeps pulling and how to show him that it’s far more fun to walk politely by your side and why coming to you is ALWAYS a good idea. I love to get dogs started on loose lead walking and recall, before handing the lead over to you for further coaching.

Oh, I’ve been there and I feel your pain! This type of behavior, generally known as “reactivity” is really common and shows just how much our dogs can struggle in our human world, full of stranger dogs!
It can feel confusing, frustrating and even lonely, living with a reactive dog. Don’t waste any more time – get in touch and get started on the road to more enjoyable walks for those on both ends of the lead!
